01TECHNICAL APPROACH
How we cross from PoC to production.
Method, principles, and architecture that sustain every Levver engagement. Applies to tailored consulting and to the evolution of our own products.
02PRINCIPLES
Five rules that govern everything we build.
The technical version of the company's five values. These are decision criteria used in every engagement, from architecture to handoff.
01
Outcome before stack
The choice of model, framework, and infrastructure is subordinated to the desired outcome. No institutional preference for frontier models or for a specific architecture.
02
Senior engineer as owner
Every project has a senior Levver tech lead as the technical owner, present from briefing to handoff. No bulk staffing of junior people, no disguised outsourcing.
03
Customization over template
The client's actual workflow is the starting point. Frameworks and templates are means to get there, not the product we deliver.
04
Transparent engineering
Repository, architecture decisions, and metrics are visible to the client's internal team from day one. No black box, no permanent dependency on Levver.
05
Production-first
Every diagnostic ends with a defined production criterion. No project is considered delivered until the code is running in the client's environment.
03THE METHOD
Diagnostic. Build. Production and Handoff.
Every engagement, regardless of the commercial format, runs through the same three phases. The duration of each phase varies. The discipline doesn't.
PHASE 01
Diagnostic
1 to 2 weeks
Mapping the real pain, validating the technology hypothesis, and defining measurable success criteria.
- ·Initial architecture document
- ·Agreed target metrics
- ·Explicit production criterion
- ·Pre-budget and timeline
PHASE 02
Build
4 weeks to 6 months
System construction with weekly or biweekly cadence. Code review shared with the internal team. Progressive deploy from staging to controlled production and full production.
- ·Repository with reviewed code
- ·CI/CD pipelines
- ·Automated evaluation
- ·Documented milestone demos
PHASE 03
Production & Handoff
1 to 2 weeks
Metric observed in real production for at least two weeks. Operational documentation, runbook, and knowledge transfer sessions.
- ·Operations runbook
- ·Complete technical documentation
- ·Handoff sessions
- ·Optional post-handoff support (3 to 6 months)
04STACK
Frontier and open-source. No religion of stack.
We pick the right model for the right problem. The choice between frontier (Claude, GPT, Gemini) and open-source (Llama, Mistral, fine-tuned models) is made on technical and cost criteria, not on institutional preference.
Primary infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform. AWS on demand when the client is already established there. Vector databases chosen by workflow fit.
CAPABILITIES
- ·Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
- ·Supervised fine-tuning
- ·Multi-step agents and tool use
- ·Automated evaluation (LLM-as-judge, eval datasets)
- ·MLOps and observability
- ·Document ingestion and processing pipelines
- ·Backend in Python and TypeScript
- ·Frontend in Next.js and React
- ·Integration with legacy systems (ERP, CRM, helpdesk)
- ·Vector databases and semantic search
05GUARANTEES
Everything that sustains the system stays with you.
A Levver engagement isn't a subscription to a proprietary platform. It's transferable construction, with IP and operations entirely in the client's hands at the end of the project.
Code in the client's repository
All code produced lives in the client's repository from week one. No hosting in a Levver environment.
Intellectual property transferred
IP for what was built to order is transferred in full at the end of the project. No residual licensing, no royalties.
Operations runbook
Operational documentation ready for the internal team to run the system without depending on Levver.
Complete technical documentation
Architecture decisions, model choices, infrastructure configuration. Everything recorded for future review.
Optional post-handoff support
A 3 to 6 month support contract is available, not mandatory. We continue when it makes sense for the client.
06SECURITY
How we handle sensitive data.
Each client runs in an isolated instance. Encryption in transit and at rest is an architectural default, not an option. Audit logs for sensitive data access are available on request. Contractual commitment to zero training on client data.
Per-client isolation
No mixing of data between tenants. Each client in a dedicated namespace or instance.
Zero training on sensitive data
Information processed in any Levver project does not feed public or internal models. Contractual clause.
Audit log and traceability
Sensitive data access is logged. Available to the client on request. Sensitive operations are always traceable.
Legal basis before processing
We turn down engagements that depend on processing data without a clear legal basis. LGPD and GDPR compliance as an architectural standard.
07NEXT CONVERSATION
The best meeting is the first one.
Thirty minutes with one of the founders. A direct technical conversation. No deck, no committee. You walk away with a prioritized technology hypothesis and a sketched success criterion.
